First time for a non-package guest house ski-ing holiday. We have done the 4* ski to the door places in other European resorts. We booked late and accommodation only. Panicked when we read bad reports on this website but were pleasantly surpirsed when we arrived. We did however take our own towels and soap etc. and that was a good tip. Our room was warm, spacious and functional. The breakfast was basic but OK (no hot food) but we knew that before we went. You have to be there before 9.30 as it gets cleared away! We did miss being able to get hot or cold drinks at leisure but we survived! The hotel does indeed "close down" at 6 pm but you still have access to and from, but we were there for the ski-ing and not looking for a party. There are plenty of pubs etc. for that if you are looking for nightlife. Hotel was quiet so ensured a good night's sleep ready for the slopes the next day.
