We have just come back from a very pleasant week skiing in the Austrian Alps, staying at Pension Alpenblick.
Our holiday did not start well. Long delays caused by storms and landslides meant that we were hungry and tired (and not a little grumpy) by the time we arrived at 8pm on a rainy Saturday.
We expected to have to trail off to find some food in town, but hosts Chris and Emma were extremely welcoming (this continued during the week way beyond the call of duty!). Without delay we were sitting in the dining room with beer and food, feeling considerably better about things!
We had a very comfortable room with en-suite shower. This was actually a triple room which could be connected on to the holiday appartment which has 2 double rooms and a kitchen. As we were on holiday with friends who had taken the appartment, this made for a perfect arrangement - half board at the hotel, but with a living room to chill out in too.
