After reading the generally good reviews we decided to spend a long weekend there and booked four nites. After the third we practically run away. Why was that? The hotel was almost empty, altogether 60 guests for the 244 rooms and already upon arrival we had a 'Shining'-ish (Stephen King) feeling. This hotel was wonderful and we are looking forward to returning. We booked here for 3 nights at the end of our weeks stay in the region. We only decided to stay here as it was close to our football teams training location, and we were spending the week watching their games. But wish we had spent the whole week... more

I booked a Deluxe Room in the VITAFloor for € 220,-- per night. In the general terms and conditions of the hotel is written, that, if you book a room in the VITAFloor, you can check out at 2pm (instead of 12:00 noon) and you have a seat in the "exclusive Schaffelbad".
