Before I start I would like to say that this is the first negative review of a hotel I have given;

Overall we were disappointed with the service at this hotel. We booked a deluxe double room which we queried once we saw the room (which was next to the lift) and we were informed that the reason our room was a ‘deluxe’ was because it had a kettle and a hairdryer, but no hairdryer could be found! Inside the room the lights did not work (the bedside lamps did, thankfully), the staff were already aware of this and said they might be able to fix them the next day, no help to us as we were only staying one night. The windows had been left open all day so the room was quite cold and there were insects flying around inside. The hotel was fully booked so we could not change to another room. We were also supplied with a list of beverages etc that could be found in the mini-bar, but upon inspection found one solitary bottle of beer in the fridge.

I would not be surprised... more
