We have travelled extensively in France and stayed many times at Auberge Des Gourmets, Champagnole. France. Madam, Christine Rizzi, gives a first class welcome; the accommodation is always fresh and clean. The chef: Francoise Prieur, is second to none. We happened across this hotel/restaurant late at night, and the owner was so welcoming, we had a double room, which although not luxurious, pillows not brilliant, no mirror in main room, just in bathroom, this aside, it was so clean, and all you could want to lay your head down, the bathroom had lovely touches, a toothbrush...
