We stayed in Heaven for 5 days in September. The location is amazing-just 2 minutes walk from the town centre and 1 minute walk from the buses that can take you anywhere in the island We had one of the suites-the view of the sunset was so beautiful that we didn’t want to leave for dinner outside. The room was spotless and the small breakfast enough to get us going for the day ahead. Quiet and relaxing-ideal for couples Definitely staying there If we come back to the island x

My family of 6 were looking for a place to call home in/around Naoussa, Paros for 2 weeks. I came across a suggestion of this little B&B in Naoussa called Heaven whereby they had an entire small home for rent. Tastefully decorated, strategically close to the downtown (2-3 mins walk) with parking next door for our small suv and a small pool to boot met all of our checklist items. The manager Ms. Raja was always helpful and attentive to our needs - we can honestly say it felt like home - so much so that we look forward to coming back again down the road.

The doors of the rooms are old internal doors, so thin that it's like you don't have any door at all. Certainly not acceptable for a hotel. You can hear every single whisper just outside the corridor where people come and go all the time shouting, as well as voices and noises from the rooms below and next to your room. The balcony is just over a busy little street and very noisy at night. Impossible to have a good night sleep! The first day we stayed up all night due to groups of drunk students (very common for Paros) from the rooms next to us that were having party all night long till 7 o'clock in the morning! There is nobody at the reception except in the morning, so we couldn't find anyone to solve the problem all night. The owner cannot be found, I think he doesn't even live in Greece. After complaining at 8 o'clock in the morning the wife of the owner came by and together with the lady from the reception made us confront with the students! How unprofessional! The last thing you want during your vacation is confrontations! The owner did send the students away the next day, apologized and left us with the choice to leave the studios if we wanted because of the noisy room. After a couple of hours we decided to leave the hotel, but the owner's wife was nowhere to be found!!! The lady at the reception became extremely impolite when we announced that we wanted to leave telling us we couldn't and we that had to pay for our whole stay! We asked if we can get a quite room on the upper floor instead but she refused to give it to us because it was more expensive! We could never find the owner's wife again, so unfortunately we stayed there, wearing earplugs at night to sleep. Moreover breakfast was poor and not fresh and the little old tv didn't work. All in all it was an awful experience. If a problem occurs you have nobody to turn to and you never get any compensation at all! Stay away!

Response from heaven-naoussa, Owner at Heaven Naoussa
Responded 15 Aug 2017
Good afternoon Kate, thank you for your review. I find it very strange that you are making a review after 1 year from your "supposed" stay at Heaven Naoussa. I think that you may have reviewed the wrong B&B because I have no recollection at all of the facts you have written and no guest with a name Kate stayed at Heaven Naoussa last year... Thank you, Fabrizio

Amazing location steps from the center of Naoussa. Rooms are basic but that's all you need in such a great place. Clean, comfortable and a gorgeous terrace to have breakfast on each morning (we were in room 7). Alexandra made our stay extra special by recommending incredible beaches to go to and restaurants all over the island to try which were all delicious. Great place to stay!

First of all the hotel was booked through booking.com with a visa deposit. The hotel owner Fabrizio then asked us to pay cash instead of visa which we did not wish to do. He gave us the name of a taxi driver to pick us up at the port and said it should cost $15 Euros. When we called the taxi driver Stavros he said it was $20 Euro and my friend said ok but he hung up on her. When she called back he hung up again. Then she sent an email to Fabrizio to say that $20 Euro was fine and he confirmned. When we arrived at the port nobody was there to pick us up. We called Stavros and he hung up on us again. We did not have a phone number for Fabrizio. I finally got through to Stavros and I speak Greek so he talked to me and said that he had an appountment nd would send someone else. We wrote an email to Fabrizio and he said he had sent a text to Stavros but never heard back from him. Fabrizio did not make sure that someone would be there to pick us up and did not inform us that Stavros was not confirmed. The taxi driver who did finally arrive about 20 minutes later dropped us near the Heaven hotel and did not help us with our bags. We did not even know which direction to go. The hotel is in a back alley with no car availability. We were greeted by a 14 year old boy who we had to ask to carry our bags up a couple flights of steps. Nobody worked at the hotel and nobody was ever in the reception. The room had a small old tv not a flat screen. The sheets were crunchy as if washed in starch. The single beds were so narrow that my limbs were hanging off and the mattress was so hard that it was like sleeping on a coffee table. The pillows were so high that I got a stiff neck and a headache., In the morning the boy's mother brought the yogurt and honey and bread included in our booking and she was very pleasant. The town was teaming with students like Fort Lauderdale during spring break. We walked to the Nauossa's port and went into a restaurant. I asked about eating a Greek fish called tsipoura. The restaurant wanted to charge me $45 Euro for fish which is about $70 Canadian. When I said it was expensive he was so rude and said I should order a sardine for $9 Euro or a salad for $5 Euro. I can afford to pay for whatever I want to eat but i am not an idiot to be overcharged. For dinner at another restaurant I was charged $13 Euro for the same fish. My friend returned her uncooked prawns and the ordered calamari which taste like a breaded running shoe. We hated Naoussa. The next day we went to Parikia where the food was great, there were lots of wonderful shops and sights. We had a great day in Parikia from 11am to 11pm. After the second night we went to a hotel in Parikia where we got sparate rooms with comfortable Queen beds for only $10 Euro more in total than the cost of our one shared room. We left a spevial towel there and we called and said we would come back to get it. The lady who worked there from 9am to 2pm said we could come pick it up that evening. We spent money to rake a bus from Parikia to Naoussa and spent 20 min to get there and !0 min to walkj to the hotel. When we got there she was not there. When we called her she said she was in Parikia so she could have brought us the towel and she did not inform us that she would not be there although she had both our phone numbers and emails. She said she would send the owner;s wife Alexandra to open the hotel to give me my towel. We waited for 20 min for her and she didn't have the right key. She was only visiting Greece for the past 10 days and didn't even stay in her own hotel, so what does that tell you. She told us that the lock had recently been changed and that she didn't have the new key to her own hotel. We then had to walk back to the bus station and wait 30 min for the next bus and take another 20 min ride and 10 min walk to our new hotel. The whole ordeal wasted 2 hours of our time and cost us about $11 Canadian. The lady who had our towel did not even plan to return to the hotel until 11:30pm. DO NOT GO TO NAOUSSA OR HEAVEN HOTEL. Stay in Parikia if you go to Paros. We stayed at the Diliion Hotel which was great and ho picked us up from he bus station and drove us to our boat the next day for FREE

Response from heaven-naoussa, Owner at Heaven Naoussa
Responded 15 Aug 2017
Dear Rena, thank you for your review. I suppose you travelled with your friend Mrs Eva Almos from Canada? I sent an email to Eva to ask if her friend's name was Rena but... she didn't reply. I am sorry about all the bad things you wrote on us and on Naoussa... Let me clarify a few points since I found your booking experience very peculiar: 1- you or Eva booked directly on our website and not on Booking.com. I was ready to charge the credit card provided online by your friend Eva but she stopped me and told me that you would have paid cash at arrival. We usually charge 50% when a guest is booking but in your case, we waved this procedure. Also, FYI your friend Eva contacted me 2 days before your arrival saying that she had to cancel the booking because her friend (you) was snoring like crazy and that she couldn't sleep anymore in the same room. I do not know if this was an excuse to simply cancel the booking but it looked very weird to me. 2- you or Eva booked a double room and we had a long back and forth email exchange whereby I had to explain you that if you book a double room and not a TWIN room you cannot have separate beds... and the only twin room we had available was already booked. Eva finally gave up and apologised for her mistake during the booking process. Since we always try to accommodate our guests requests I managed to move guests from one room to the other (also upgrading them) to give you the twin room and Eva was very happy!! 3- we do not take care of transfers and we usually recommend calling our Taxi driver who knows where we are in Naoussa. It is the guest responsibility to arrange the transfer and ideally to follow our advice by calling the driver we indicate. Concerning the taxi rate, it is "usually" 15Eur and I do not know why you have been charged 20Eur but again I cannot be considered liable for this, I do not control taxi rates in Paros and a 5Eur difference is not a big deal at the end of the day... 2.5Eur each of you...! Next time... there are all inclusive holidays where you won't have to face these kinds of surprises! 4- All guests receive a detailed email few days before arrival with all relevant information on how to arrive at Heaven Naoussa including my telephone number (you probably didn't call me because you didn't want to spend money??) and Raja's telephone number who takes care of the B&B for us. Everyone is informed (and it is written in capital letters on our website and in the booking confirmation) that the reception closes at 1pm and therefore guests should inform us about their arrival time so we can be there for the check-in. We are a family-run B&B not an Hotel. 5- you didn't seem happy with the room as well... we do not have a flat TV but an old fashioned and charming classic TV in each room. Our principle is that nobody watches TV when you are in such a beautiful place and in fact we may take them out of all rooms next season. We are surprised to hear that the bed was not comfortable and the bed linen not properly ironed, you should have asked Raja to replace them and she would have done it with great pleasure. 6- you didn't like Naoussa as well.... Naoussa is one of the most beautiful and authentic place left in the Cyclades. If you want to enjoy Naoussa you should avoid the high season but this is valid for most of the holiday destinations. If you are an experienced traveller as you say you should know these basic rules. 7- Restaurants: in Greece, you can eat and spend very little but also spend a lot of money. You probably went to an expensive restaurant, I hope that the fish was good at least! We provide our guests with the list of our recommended restaurants... you should have followed our advice! 8- Parikia is Paros capital and it is a nice little town but...please do not compare it with Naoussa... 9- Finally the story of your famous towel! you must be very attached to it... and I bet the cost of the bus to come and get is higher than the value of the towel itself! First of all, YOU forgot it in the room, you called Raja and arranged a time for collection but you never came (again we are a simple B&B not a Hotel with reception open all day). At the end, my wife who lives nearby the hotel was so kind to take the car (with our 2 kids) and bring the towel to Parikia the next day: I call it First class service. You booked 3 nights but stayed only 2 because you told me that you had a cousin in Athens who was about to die and you had to leave... of course we didn't charge the third night... BUT next time you should find a nicer excuse since I know that in reality you didn't leave but went to Parikia and enjoyed your stay there! Kind regards, Fabrizio

This B&B is so special the moment you walk in you know you've made the right choice. beautiful rooms with a view, it's 5 minutes walk from the center of Naoussa, very quiet location. Staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. Rooms are spotless, very well appointed and simply elegant. Scrumptious breakfast, especially the Greek yogurt with honey. I would love to be back soon.

Bed and breakfast in a great location. It is located in the center of Naoussa with reserved parking. The structure is still very quiet despite being a few steps from the center. We stayed in two rooms. The number 6 has a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and where you can have breakfast. The number 9 (suite) has a smaller, shaded terrace, always with sea view, but it's a more secluded room. They are provided both beach towels that towels for the bathroom. Council to bring the bath soap because they give only small bars of soap. Breakfast is served from 9 am Coffee, orange juice, water, bread, butter, jam, croissant and if you like eggs, ham and cheese. The bathroom is small but functional. Perfect shower with hot water always available. In the room there is air conditioning, a small TV, a small fridge and a safe. Cleaning is basic and could be improved. The Wi-Fi is available for free and works well in the room 6 while the 9 is currently not available. We tell to the owners and they have assured us that they will make the necessary changes to ensure proper operation in all the rooms. Fabrizio (Italian) and his wife are the owners and are very helpful in providing information and support for every need. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this hotel for both families and couples.

I have to admit, when I first booked this hotel my boyfriend and I were both extremely hesitant because there hadn't been a review in a couple of years. Once we arrived, all of our worries were put to rest and our week spent at Heaven Naoussa was perfect. Before arrival, we had arranged with Fabrizio for someone to us up from the ferry port and take us to our hotel. I would highly recommend this because this hotel is hard to find otherwise. We arrived late but Fabrizio made sure there was someone there to greet us and take us to our room. Throughout the process, Fabrizio, the owner, was extremely helpful and answered my questions within the hour. My boyfriend and I booked the first floor double room for our stay. We stayed six nights total. The rooms were simple, spacious, clean and everything we needed during our stay. It had a private balcony with a beautiful view of white buildings all around. Every morning we were served a delicious breakfast, at a time that we chose. Raja took care of us all week. She was the hotel wonder woman. She cleaned our rooms, served us breakfast, took care of our check-in and check-out and answered all of our questions. She was the SWEETEST lady and made us feel at home. Her service was unmatched. She was extremely genuine and welcoming and made our stay that much more impressionable. The location was perfect. It was a five minute walk to the main center of Naoussa. This for us, worked. We were just far enough where it wasn't loud at night but close enough to walk to bars, restaurants, shops, etc. There is a bus stop across the street which would take you to any beach you desired. The beaches in Paros are a distance from any where you stay so don't base your hotel on just one beach, my advice would be to explore them all. When we return to Paros, we will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Our stay in Heaven last summerwas excellent, so we did as planned and returned this summer. The website is good for booking, but I sent the Hostess Alexandra an e-mail as well. As returning guests, she offered us a nice little discount to appreciate our loyalty. Last year we stayed in a small suite, but as we were only 2 persons this year we stayed in a double room. This room was located next to the suite and had the same good balcony facilities, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. We arrived late in the evening and Alexandra arranged for Stavros to pick us up from the port in Parikia. Leo gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. During the 7 nights stay we expierienced the same warm hospitality as before. The delicous breakfast was served at the balcony every morning at 9 h. Afterwords we walked the 3-4 minutes down to the port to take a boat out to a nice beach (often Kolymbitres). It was hard to leave Naoussa and Heaven after one week, but let us see if we can make it back next summer again.
