Can't rate experience with hotel; we booked a room for early October, got confirmation number and when we got there the Hotel was CLOSED down for the season. Cab driver tried to contact owner, no answer. Luckily he found us a nice place. PS: cab fare was only 5 Euros from the port. Not per person. more

The website said it overlooked the port - not by my definition of 'overlooking'. It's a good 40 min walk from the port, and when you're trekking with backpacks in midday heat, we didn't take kindly to the owner telling us it was 1.5km from the port - as the crow flies! Please myself and my partner took on a two month journey through Europe and we had the unpleasant or should i say terrible experience of choosing to stay at Pyrgaki Hotel. Terrible Hotel - Stay Somewhere Else Rude Owner 3kms from port - claims 1km. Rooms are dirty, small and not what we ordered. We walked away in disgust as the owner hurled personal insults at us. We found a great hotel in town at half the rate. more
