We arrived by a high speed ferry from Athens and simply followed the waterfront to the hotel. A very easy walk. It's a block from the beach, they were very nice, breakfast was good and it was a wonderful experience. more

We've stayed at the apollon twice in the past 3 years and, frankly, are baffled by the negative reviews. My experience is that people often expect a North American experience in their hotels. Sizeable rooms, clean, friendly, classy wooden interior, comfy beds, bath/shower AND balcony... - had to MOVE to their "sister" hotel on arrival (weren't told previously), their 6 Euro breakie was nasty and horrible! and they had no secure luggage storage... This hotel is the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. My dorm room in college (20 years ago) was much nicer. Not one piece of furniture in the room matched- nor lamps, towels, or bedspreads. The room is equipped with the bare minimum-beds, toilet, sink, shower and nothing more. No ice machine or drink machines to be found.... more

Well the hotel pictures on the website certainly don't look like the room we stayed in. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Parikia. The bathroom smelled and you could hardly turn around in it. The beds were hard and even though we'd booked a double they'd pushed 2 singles together so it was very uncomfortable.... more
