This is an expanding hotel on the edge of Dorgali. The town itself is fun and pleasant to wander around. The main attraction though is the coast and the beaches and some amazing drives and hikes close by. The room we booked through Hotels.com was a bit basic, so we upgraded with some generosity from the very helpful staff and... more

Il Querceto is in a great location from which to explore the region. It is a 15 minute drive to the beaches at Cala Ganone and about 20 minutes to the start of the hikes to Tiscali and the Groppu Gorge. Dorgali itself is a small town with very limited food on offer. Both nights we stayed in Dorgali we... more

First time to Sardinia, and the whole experience was fantastic. Prior to booking, I had contacted the Il Querceto to ask a few questions and request info about the area, transport etc. From the very first chat, it was obvious that this family run hotel is proud of it's reputation and the help & advice I was given convinced me... more

We had a wonderful stay at Il Querceto, which is a lovely family run hotel. During our stay, it was my daughter's 16th birthday, and the owners left a beautiful flower arrangement and card in her room, having noted at check-in that it was her birthday. The restaurant offers a typical Sardinian menu, with lots of friendly advice about the... more

Il Querceto is a million miles away from a typical package-holiday hotel – up in the mountains of the Supramonte, it lies within a short drive of the beaches of Sardinia’s east coast, but is also near the start of several of the walks in the Sunflower Landscapes of Sardinia guide, making it an ideal base for those seeking an... more

We stayed here for four nights in February. A few comments; The room was very large and everything looked pretty new - albeit a bit bare. The basics were all there - comfy bed, TV (not that there's anything to watch unless you're a Walker-Texas-Ranger-dubbed-in-Italian fan), table, chairs etc. However due to the size of the room it felt a bit... more

My husband and I stayed at the Il Querceto Hotel towards late July 2006 for 5 nights. From the outside it does not look like a hotel as it is situated amongst fruit trees and shrubs. The hotel was rather more like a very large house. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the views to the mountain were... more
