Gilberto prepared and graciously presented traditional meals in a Velazquez setting, or make that Vermeer. It was definitely Spanish cuisine. A specially made soup was prepared for my husband who arrived feeling under the weather. The staff was very friendly. Our room was handsomely furnished and very comfortable.

It was a rainy evening, our baby was fussy, we were hungry and didn't know where to eat. Some ladies at a shop in town sent us to Gilberto at Esmeralda. He was the sweetest man and we knew upon arrival that we found the right spot! He cooked us up a delicious feast--huge portions, that tasted like home cooking.... More

this hostel, located near centre and beach of Comillas is a perfect option for a stay in this beautiful region. Great value for your money. Staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. Great food in the restaurant as well!
