Wow. Actually found somewhere in Spain where the staff/owners don't speak English...how refreshing! This is an authentic Spanish b&b style hotel with beautiful decor and friendly owners. Perfect stop over en route to marbella/costa del sol from France/England with SECURE PARKING. Our car with roof box was locked behind a very tall hate and hidden from view, felt very safe.... More

Lovely small hotel near the Daimiel reserve. It is quiet, you can park on the street and you can have good continental breakfast at the time you tell the owner. You are given a code to enter and the main downstairs room is full decorated in a country sort of way, reminding you that you are close to a natural... More

An amazing stop travelling through Spain. Travelling from Gibraltar to Santander to catch the ferry we tried to find somewhere to stay away from the normal hotels. We found the haven in Manzanares. Antigua Casa de la Bodega is located in the town close to the main motorway. We found the hotel quite easily and went to our room which... More

A really beautiful hotel with stunning decor, all local, all very Spanish and kept spotlessly clean. The town is a perfect stop over, travelling down to the South of Spain, just a short moment from the main road. The welcome was great, rooms fab, dogs were welcomed and the staff happy to do what ever they needed...wine was brought up... More

Just off the motorway lies this remnant of old decency. The Propriotress explained (in french as she speaks no english and my Spainins is rudimentary) that this was not a normal hotel and how right she was . After explaining the meal times wifi etc and showing me all the attractions of manzanares on a map she solemely handed me the... More

We stayed - sadly - for only one night on a journey from Cordoba to Zaragoza but it was really superb and we would definitely return again. Manzanares itself is a typical, not terribly attractive Spanish town on the plain but it has a dusty charm. The main square is lovely and a great place for an evening drink and... More

I have often described Spanish cuisine to friends as ‘perfect ingredients, simply prepared’ and maybe that description applies to lovely country inns, as well. We stayed here in April merely because it was a halfway point between the coast and Madrid. We were delighted when we discovered this small inn with its comfortable, cozy rooms and thoughtful touches like crisp... More

Delightful and quaint little hotel with everything you would need after a long hot drive. The couple who run it are charming and helpful, and the rooms, though not large, are comfortable and peaceful. Add very reasonable prices and you just can't go wrong. Just don't make the same mistake as me..... Download directions before you go! Don't have a... More

My wife, daughters and I were looking for a place to stay between Madrid and Granada. We were extremely pleased with what we found. The rooms were cozy, everything was in order, and breakfast was great. The staff was very helpful. We had reserved a room for 4 and after checking in, they recommended that we take two separate rooms... More

We were pleasantly surprised by this jewel of a place and the owners. We had a one night stop over in Manzanares as we drove to Portugal from Geneva for our summer holiday. It was a wonderful one night stop over at Antigua Casa de la Bodega. The owners welcomed us and our golden retreiver so warmly and openly. The... More
