A modern parador on the edge of a national park - with lovely walks right from the hotel gate. There was a tourism conference starting that night, so we were given an upgraded room to compensate for the disruption, and had a balcony with a view over the lake which was quite outstanding. In the restaurant we sat in an... More

After an astonishing drive through the Picos de Europa for 4 hours from the coast to this little village we came to this nice hotel in the middel of nature and mountains. The hotel is adequate pleasant and in public areas a bit outdated. Superb food, however, with the best appetizer I ever have eaten.

Sometimes when things are raved about they turn out to be disappointing but staying in this parador achieved our expectations and possibly even surpassed them when we opened our balcony doors for the first time. It certainly has a wow factor for the view, and at night, under a starlit sky, the sounds of all sorts of wildlife echoing around... More

The decoration is the usual of the parador, very nice although a bit worn out at places. The ground floor rooms are a delight to spend some relaxing time talking to friends by the chimney, reading a book or playing cards. If there is something this parador should be praised for is the food, both the dinner menu and breakfast.... More

The room was spacious and decorated to the usual good standard of a Parador. We made sure we booked a room with a view which was worth the extra cost as the view was breathtaking. The restaurant however, was quite disappointing. Staff were slow, and the food was mediocre. We both ordered steak, medium done. We received one well done... More

On arrival I used the communal toilet and was very disappointed they were shabby, not very clean and in need of decoration. I have stayed at about 10 different Paradors and did not expect this. After further inspection the whole of the hotel looks tired and in need of a lick of paint. However when we got to our room... More

Very nice location overlooking the mountains, but not all the rooms have the good views although we had the "bad" views and they are not bad at all. Big rooms, massive bed and lovely balcony. Floor is a litle bit noisy and you can hear people walking upstairs. Restaurant is fantastic. Cervera de Pisuerga town is not worthwhile to visit.

We spent two nights here - the room was large and well appointed, he restaurant and bars were very nice, but it was 90 degrees F and humid, and the hotel has no airconditioning, and no fans in the rooms.. The views were nice, but they needed furniture on the balconies so you could enjoy them. The area doesn't have... More

Spent two nights at this parador. Rooms large and comfortable with sofa, table and chairs. Large bathroom with two washand basins. We paid an extra 20 euros a night for views of the reservoir which, was worth every penny. Stunning views all around from our terrace. We enjoyed walking around the local area for our full day there. It is... More
