We stayed at the Coig Na Shee Guest House in Newtonmore, which is walking distance from the Glen Hotel. But we ate dinner every night while in the area ... the reason we came back every night is that the food, bar, and service were outstanding! Have stayed at this hotel for the past ten years, a great base for all the golf courses in the area. Hotel is vibrant with a great atmosphere. Stopped for three nights - wish it could have been seven. Lovely comfortable rooms with Sky TV. Very clean throughout. Food great, the best we had in Scotland Staff charming and helpful. Good entertainment (usually three nights a week). Very busy bar and prices generally cheaper than we paid in other parts of the Highlands. more

I've stayed here a couple of times visiting family always had a friendly reception and a lovely room. Food is great try the venison steak yum! Breakfast is just fine. Friendly staff and some great local entertainment in the evenings, not what I'm used to but still great fun. more
