Our room was very small with a tiny ensuite, however for the price we paid we did not expect too much. This hotel is good because of he friendliness and servie of the staff. The bar seems to be the gathering point of the village providing great food and service! I would stay here again. more

Our room smelt musty and was pokey. Desperately in need of upgrading. The carpets in the entrance hall and stairs to the rooms was worn and dirty. We were not expected for breakfast - an oversight apparently. The table was dirty so I removed the paper tablecloth. Not good value for money, very disappointing. We have known the Glen for... more

We are sorry that this guest felt that we fell short of the mark on this occasion. We are even more surprised as this guest did not bring any of the problems to our attention whist he was here, therefore he did not give us the opportunity to move him to another room or take any other steps to rectify...

We stayed at the Coig Na Shee Guest House in Newtonmore, which is walking distance from the Glen Hotel. But we ate dinner every night while in the area ... the reason we came back every night is that the food, bar, and service were outstanding! A wide-ranging menu is available and all of the food was very well prepared.... more

My wife, mother in law and I stayed here on the second night of a night tour of Scotland. We were lucky enough to experience 5 lovely places to stay. The Glen hotel looks good from the outside and the warm Yorkshire welcome from the Landlord did not disappoint. The rooms are very well appointed and facilities very comfortable. Good... more

We had a wonderful time here. The new bar is lovely, great Ales and food in a great space. I wish we would have had more time to stay and the next time we are on holiday in Scotland we will make a concerted effort to drop in again. more

A small well run Highland hotel. Staff and owner were very helpful, very conscious of customer service. A couple of minor requests were dealt with very efficiently. Food was fine and some outstanding value deals are available at this hotel. Rooms were clean but walls are a bit thin, alarm clocks could be heard through wall, but that would be... more

Have stayed at this hotel for the past ten years, a great base for all the golf courses in the area. Hotel is vibrant with a great atmosphere. The breakfasts are to die for and the evening meals are brilliant, great big portions. Rooms are very clean and big, clean towels daily etc. The hosts Kim and Chris are real... more

Stopped for three nights - wish it could have been seven. Lovely comfortable rooms with Sky TV. Very clean throughout. Food great, the best we had in Scotland Staff charming and helpful. Good entertainment (usually three nights a week). Very busy bar and prices generally cheaper than we paid in other parts of the Highlands. more

I had to attend Aviemore for business as a last minute thing (night before) so after searching various places I finally found The Glen Hotel, Newtonmore (10 miles south of Aviemore). The website was very inviting so for fifty-five pounds my wife and I booked up the night before staying! Outside view was a typical pub... there sign's were trying... more
