We booked Ash cottage as a mini-break between our birthdays (2 weeks apart) and stayed 3 nights. Communication prior to arrival was prompt and very informative, although we had not been advised of what to do on arrival at the cottage - instead we knocked on the door of what we thought to be the main house, which turned out... more

Second time we have stayed at Crubenbeg and it never disappoints. Cottages are cosy and well equipped and having a wood burning stove is just wonderful. Surrounding landscape and scenery spectacular on a frosty morning and is a good base for Aviemore. Have stayed in both Cedar and Douglas Fir cottages and both are great. more

The accommodation here is spectacular (we stayed in Hazel Cottage- a 3 bedroom property)- fully equipped cottages, spacious, modern and in such a wonderful setting. We travelled as a party of 8 (4 adults & 4 children) from Dundee. This location was close enough for travelling to with kids and yet far enough away to feel that you are on... more

Cameron and Sian were wonderful leaving us in peace but on hand to provide assistance if needed. The cottages are a good bike ride away from Newtonmore if you're feeling energetic or a short car ride away. The wood burning stoves really make the cottages warm and cosy and after a hard day making the most of the fantastic scenery... more

This is our second stay at Crubenbeg cottages. We stayed in Douglas fir Cottage last year as it has two bedrooms as we took our children. Last week we stayed in Pine cottage as it was just us and the dog. Both cottages are so well equiped for your every need on holiday. Definately exceeds the describtion "Home from Home".... more

Lovely and very pet friendly cottage, fabulous setting, wonderful area! We spent a great week tramping up mountains, striding through heather and drinking in the beautiful surroundings before going back to our little cottage for a long soak in the bath and red wine in front of the log burner! Kate, Chris and Timmy the dog! more

Crubenbeg is the ideal place for exploring Cairngorm National Park, there is so much within a short travel distance in particular Woftrax, Aviemore and Cairngorms, Newtonmore Highland Life Museum, Clan McPherson Museum and Newtonmore Stables. And on your doorstep there are excellent walks, I recommend just putting on your shoes and walking or cycling just to see where all the... more

This was our first trip to the Cairngorms and we have totally fallen in love with it! It was made all the more special by this fantastic accomodation. We stayed in Birch Cottage and it was really spacious to say it was for 2 people. The Woodburner was a real homely touch and made everything so cosy. The owners are... more

We stayed for a relaxing week in Beach Cottage. The cottage has good quality furnishings, small kitchen (but fully functional and ok for preparing a few meals) and bathroom, good size bed in large bedroom with a pleasant lounge with woodburning stove. There are 8 cottages located here and some may find it less private than they might like when... more

Thanks to Cameron and Sian for a fantastic 5 day break in February 2009. The accomodation is home-from-home, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We were made extremely welcome by Cameron and Sian. The cottages are the perfect place for a quiet break or to take up some of the nearby activities. Many thanks for your hospitality. Julie And Graham, Edinburgh more
