The riad is a complete delight and an architectural gem. Beautifully restored this small hotel has very well-appointed ensuite rooms. The bathrooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The service is friendly and warm. Luxury without pretension all hidden away behind the blue door. Fabulous! more

This Place is a real hideout. It is located just at the wall of the medina overlooking the city. When you enter it from the busy lanes of the kasbah you are surrounded by peace, harmony and quiteness. It is a typical riad with a beautiful atrium leading to the rooms on few levels. On the roof-top you have sunny... more

We travelled as a family with two children of 9 and 13, and a family friend who lives in Morocco. All of us were enchanted by this riad. The proprietor, Daniel Person, has a wonderful eye and has restored this building beautifully to elegant, tastefully faded splendour. There is a dramatically huge banana tree in the courtyard, chirping budgies and... more

the owner has done a magnificient job of restauring this house. It is what you need to stay in Azemmour. Since there is no restaurants beside street sandwich joints you'll be happy to eat here. Since the setting could hardly be more beautifull, it's fitting that the food is delicious. We were vere happy that we found this place! more

Arrived here to stay 2 nights coming from Marrakech and begin our trip along the coast. The riad looks stunning and is very peaceful. And the food is great, talented cook. The staff overall is very nice, I can't imagine why not to visit Daniel Person's riad Azama. Personally I also liked the town overall, it's still authentic and not... more

We stayed at the Riad Azama in 2008 and were looking forward to returning again this year. We live and work in Rabat, so we have seen a great deal of Morocco and stayed in some pretty wonderful places. Riad Azama rates in the top 3. It is beautifully restored but unpretentious. Every detail is considered. daniel and his staff... more

We stayed two nights in this beautiful riad. The inner courtyard is absolutely stunning. The staff are friendly and helpful while giving you the space to relax. The roof terrace is beautiful. The rooms are large and decorated with lovely local pieces with added French flair. We loved staying here and recommend it unreservedly. more

We stayed here for just one night trying to break up the drive from Essaouira to Fes. What a great stop! The medina is a bit strange, so we actually didn't leave the riad except to buy water. But the riad is incredible w/friendly staff, a huge room and amazing dinner served in the salon/library. This place is a real... more

We stayed for one night in Jan 2006. Riad Azama is in Azammour, a small town with a medina a few km away from El Jadida. This is an amazingly beautiful restored Riad, I would say it is like a small palace. The rooms are huge, the size of a studio flat, with a large double bed, large comfortable sofas,... more
