We arrived in a small Cessna to a airstrip in the absolute middle of nowhere and found a lodge propably as near paradise you can get. Sun, wind, beach etc, etc . From almost out of nowhere appears the Tides Hotel, hidden discreetly on the beautiful East Coast of Tanzania. We were looking for somewhere for a week of rest and relaxation and the Tides was recommended by a friend. I cannot praise this hotel enough. We flew into Dar es Salaam and after that the travel arrangements were made by James and everything went like clockwork. I would recommend the private plane option to get you to the Tides... more
