This place is fabulous. Sumith and his wife Shammi will make you feel like you are long-lost relatives staying in their lovely home. Beautifully renovated after the tsunami, the villa has 10 rooms which all have tasteful dark wood poster beds and really cool bathrooms done completely in grout-free concrete. The place is immaculate and well-maintained by staff that, like Sumith and Shammi, are kind, friendly and highly involved in ensuring that your holiday is as perfect as possible. The only down side is that the place is not located on the beach - you have to cross a small street to get to it, but then the beach is no more than a minute's walk away. So not terrible at all. Breakfast, which is included in the room rate, is a fabulous spread of both American fare (eggs, sausage, toast, etc) as well as Sri Lankan, which was delicious and definitely worth a try.
