When we arrived in Santa Elena, it was cold, rainy an blowing REALLY hard! All we wanted was a hot shower and a warm bed...
The owner, Freddy, is a super GUY! Okay, his English isn't all that, but hey, you're in a Spanish speaking country, but he's sweet! And he's there for you, and gives you al little extra with his warm face. He's got great info & prices on excursions.
The rooms are basic but neat and a soft bed. The bathrooms are fine, no luxury as in the rest of the hotel.
Breakfast is served in the little restaurant his wife runs and the place is stuffed with Tico's: we liked it.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't all that, actually there was a storm and as it was our holiday we didn't want to stay there any longer, we needed sun. The already booked and paid for excursions were returned to us without any questions asked an he arranged transport for us to go to Brasilito.
Don't expect heaven on earth. Expect a clean, basic room for good value...
