The Good: Incredible views of the surrounding country. you really couldn't ask for a better view of the Punta Arenas area. Also, if you are wanting to see the Cloud Rain Forest or do some Ziplining, this is an excellent central location. The tubs are huge, perfect for two people if one was on a honeymoon The Bad: The beds... More

We stayed here two nights visiting the Monteverde area. Good basic rooms, good size. WiFi only worked in lobby area. Try and stay in the main building, the other rooms can be far away and a uphill walk and difficult on rainy days. The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotels has no other amenities, no pool, gift shop, etc.... More

Spent two nights here with our National Geographic tour. Our room was in a separate building. It was quite large with a patio and view. The service was great, but the food left a lot to be desired. We had the same menu for lunch and dinner for both days (i.e. one menu) and the food was overcooked and tough,... More

We thought this hotel was fine. Our room was large, with a big balcony overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya in the distance. It was obscured by clouds most of the time (this is cloud forest country, after all), but it did clear from time to time. The only problems were problems with the town and not the hotel. For one... We came to Monteverde without a hotel reservation, and I was thrilled when found this one for a reasonable price. Comfortable beds, big bathroom, a fantastic balcony, refridgerator, and very clean. We are birders, and the area around the hotel was one of the best birding locations we found! The included breakfast each morning was very good. We wish all... More

I've stayed here twice and really enjoyed it both times. I agree with the comments about it lacking character, but it has everything you need. The first time I stayed there, we were in really awesome rooms with these huge tubs, but the second time I stayed in rooms that weren't quite as nice or clean. But overall it's a... More

a well appointed, well run hotel in Monteverde. We stayed two nights, and service was fine, the rooms large, clean and comfortable. There was a lack of atmosphere in the place - mostly the clients were in tour groups (like us!) and we didn't really feel the hotel had character. It was the closest to a business hotel we found... This hotel could be such a lovely one, but it doesnt quite make it. The settting is lovely, location ideal, and first impressions are good. reception area large and impressive, but the dining room is equally large but very impersonal, lacking character. Food reasonable, and good choice for breakfast. Reasonable choice for dinner. The bare is dreadful - can only... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour. The room was clean with a giant bath tub but we couldn't work the plug! Breakfast and lunch compared well with other hotels in the area. It was great to hear the dawn chorus with a variety of sounds. The trail round the grounds was amazing as we saw... More

We stayed here for 2 nights , we had 2 rooms and they were sufficient for our needs, they were in the main building nothing fancy. We saw no swimming pool or hot tub or any other amenities.
