Great place, but not for everyone. The American gent who built and runs this small lodge is extraordinarily knowledgeable and well versed on all aspects of visiting Monteverde and its culturally distint environs. As all of the other reviewers stated, this place is the BEST! We booked both rooms in February and were greeted by Rolf who was surrounded by a band of coatimundis. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the location is so beautiful and secluded. You have a beautiful view of the cloud forest from the rooms, especially upstairs.... more

This was a dream come true! Why anyone would stay anywhere else in Santa Elena/Monteverde is beyond me. We rented both the top and bottom floor of this house and couldn't believe it was all for us!
