We have stayed here with our 4 year old son and 7 months old daughter. We have arrived from the alpenroyel hotel in Val Gardena in italy and the comparison between the hotels does not do good to the Jagdhof. The food maybe good good in Austrian standards but does not come close to the italian cuisine. The restaurant service,... more

We spend 8 nights begin March 2009 where we booked a room of type "Ring". It is still one open room but the salon is visually separated from the bedroom. Here are our remarks of our stay : We liked: * Big hotel in the style of « Austrian kitsch » as another member described. Anyway, everything is nicely decorated... more

My son had been here in 2007 along with his cousin. My nephew raved about it, calling it a "Viking Palace". While he may have missed the mark in terms of ethnicity, he was spot on in describing the Jagd as outstanding. We were here for two nights in December, complete with all the decorations and senses of the season.... more

We stayed here for February 1/2 term 2008 with our 2 children aged 7 and 10 and also with the grandparents. The hotel is lovely, room great, food fabulous, heated boot room great but could do with 2 lockers for 4 people. Pool & spa also great. Only draw back is the fact that you have to get the mini... more

We have been staying at the Jagdhof for many years. We started in our thirties. Continue in our forties. We will return until we can no longer return. The Jagdhof encompasses all that elegance and the simple art of living - beautifully - can embrace. I say that not as a nostalgic, but as some one who has had the... more

We were here in a short holiday in late april for skiing. The Gletcher ski area is excelent, with long slopes and medium difficulty, excelent rental and depo conditions.Snow was excelent. The only complain is that they do not prepare the slopes perfect, like in other parts of tyrol. Jagdhof hotel is a wonderful small family run hotel, situated in a peacefull place 10 min walk... more

Stayed at the Jagdhof for a one-week ski trip in February 2007 with the entire family (mom, dad, 2 girls aged 12 and 4, plus our au pair). The interior of the hotel is beautiful (common areas, restaurants, rooms, spa/pool). I disagree with previous reviewers in that the overall style is indeed traditional Austrian, but not "Kitsch" in any way.... more

This was our 4th trip to The Jagdhof in 4 summers. What brings us back is the sheer beauty of the location, the excellent and friendly staff and owners, great rooms, wonderful relaxing meals and a spa/vitalwelt unlike anything we have experienced in the US. The Seraglio mud bath chamber for 2 is our favorite and well priced. Each visit... more

Neustift itself is a beautiful place which made me wish I was fitter and a more experienced walker than I am, however there are plenty of pathways away from roads that suit most people, I mention this because the fresh air infused with the smell of hay and seeing the local community at work was one of the highlights of... more
