We had a four night stay at Plitvce House recently and really enjoyed it. We had a lovely ensuite room with balcony. The bathroom was small but clean and OK. The breakfast was good and nothing was too much trouble. The owner gave us some recommendations where to go and eat and advise about what to see in the area besides the Lakes, which are absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. more

Pros: They had my reservation when we arrived at 10pm.

Cons:
* Didn't have a room with private bath as reserved
* No air conditioning
* Extremely hot in August
* Bugs (including cockroaches) EVERYWHERE! When we weren't using our shoes to kill them, we were hearing others doing it all around the house through the thin walls.
* Took forever to "check out" in the morning. The older woman woke up the younger girl who showed us to our room the previous evening, and then they didn't have enough cash so they had to wake up some older man in the back room who then went into some other area to presumably get the correct amount of change.

I would never stay in this place again and would clearly not recommend it to others either. I couldn't get out of there fast enough in the morning. The only redeeming quality was the Plitvice Lakes National Park. more
