We were originally booked into another hotel in Sasbachwalden - but on arrival found they did not have the wheelchair access we had been led to expect. They did, however, find us rooms at the Talmuhle - which had the all-important lift.
This proved to be a very comfortable hotel, in the middle of the village, and with extensive grounds, including a beautifully maintained garden and arboretum.
The restaurant was fairly expensive, but the food was excellent. We ate here both nights, though it would have been easy to find alternatives as there are many eating establishments in the village. Rooms were fine, although the TVs are rather dated. Also, you may be disappointed if you expect a bath, as only a shower is provided in the en suite. We didn't find this a problem!
The staff were friendly and helpful, and their smattering of English compensated for our lack of German. We had an enjoyable couple of days here, and I would recommend it. The clientele seemed a...
