This was a return visit to the Bella Vista apartments, Sissi after 5 years. Unfortunately, both the apartments, Sissi and Crete generally show the effects of lack of care and investment in the tourist industry. Just returned from week's stay. Loved resort but Bella Vista is down a long steep hill, and then a further 20 min walk into town. We were allocated an apartment at the top and although the view over Stalis was fantastic it was 81 steep steps to climb after walking back from the resort. Nobody to help with cases up... more

Bella Vista Apartments on the outskirts of the small fishing village of Sissi- which is about 5k East of Malia. Built on a hillside , there are great view of Malia Bay. A lovely looking hotel set into the high hills with many steps to climb to get to some apartments. Set on main road to Sissi but you don't hear any traffic. This was an absolutely brilliant holiday, the appts were'nt what i was expecting as my daughters bed was in the "kitchen", and around the swimming pool it got very slippy, many kids and adults slipped over, but other than that we had no complaints.
