I would have liked this place a lot more if it weren't for the noise. The bar and outdoor patio double as a local hangout where they blast music until at least 11 at night. (I was there on a weekend, so I'm not sure if that applies throughout the week.) Other guests arriving in the wee hours seemed to have no compunction about talking at the top of their voices or even yelling. (Though, Sunday night was much more peaceful than Fri or Sat). I found the hotel staff to be rather indifferent, though the woman who works at the little tourism kiosk is fabulous.
I would skip the hotel breakfast and go to for a pastry at the excellent bakery up the street (I think it opens at 7 every day), and grab a cafe con leche somewhere else.
On the plus side, the room was very clean; there was lots of hot water; the bed was comfortable enough, and the rate affordable.
If I were to stay there again, I would ask for a room opposite the patio.
