Having seen the reviews on here I was sceptical about the hotel but it didn't disappoint. The staff were very helpful at suggesting what to do and where to go which helped us feel like one of the locals and the manager was particularly caring, really going the extra mile for the customers needs. As said on here, the rooms... More

We have stayed at this holiday before (6 years ago) so knew what we would be getting but didnt expect nothing to have been done to either the decor or furnishings since the last time we stayed. The bathrooms are terrible the electric shower in the first room we were given didnt work so asked to be moved after 1... More

Visited cawsand today specially to go for lunch and Popped in cawsand bay hotel for a bit of lunch but the chef hadnt turned up so they weren't serving food. Pretty rubbish considering its Easter holidays! Should consider back up staff or offer a limited menu instead.

Stayed at the hotel as were attending a close friends wedding. Turned out that this is where most of my family stayed for my wedding later on that year! Lovely friendly staff, reasonable rates and great wine(from what I can remember!) Beautiful, panoramic views of the bay from our room and the warm comfy bar lounge/restaurant. All in all if... More

Great position, but very tired rooms. Carpets need urgent attention as very stained. Rooms require decorating and bathrooms re-tiling. Stayed in no.6 so great view but lacked any attention to simple design or furnishings although bed and chest looked new. It only takes a tin of paint! Cost per room would have been very reasonable had it not be so... More

We specifically booked a double room for 3 nights. On arrival we were told that our room had had to be changed to a family room as they had let all of the doubles. This was not acceptable due to the additional flight of stairs within the room itself that would have to be negotiated to reach the double bed... More

Fabulous location - but the food was awful! My dinner looked as if it had been scraped out of the bottom of the dish and slapped on the plate. It had obviously been reheated in the microwave and was inedible. When I pointed out the food was unacceptable, the girls just laughed and said they didn't cook it! I would... More

Went for dinner while visiting the UK, lovely setting but the food was nothing short of terrible. Vegetable lasagne, overcooked tastless and hardly a vegetable to be found in the "mush" that was served up. Not cheap and no apology from the waitress when we mentioned how bad the meal was. We wouldn't recommend this place to friends.

Myself and two friends on a walking holiday shared a family suite at this hotel. The decor is a bit dated but it was comfortable, clean and the service from the staff was polite and attentive. The views over the sea were great and the price wasnt too bad either.

The location is brilliant, the hotel has clearly seen better days but it has a bar, the rooms are clean and tidy with great views over the bay. The Ferry actually goes from the beach 100 yards away to Plymouth. Around a fine place to stay for the money
