Bitingly cold outside when we spotted this little haven. Roaring fire was welcome as were the beer paddles and scotch eggs Fabulous on all counts! 6 x 1/3pt of some stunningly good ales and a home made scotch egg that was simply delightful

If you want a real old-fashioned English pub atmosphere with friendly staff and top-class beers, this is for you. It not posh or smart, it's warm and comfortable and a bit worn like your gran's living room. Thats about it, except the boiler in my room kicked in at regular intervals and kept me awake.

Room is tiny like you couldnt swing a squirrel. Bed is so hard! May of been more comfortable on the floor but not enough room to actually lie on it!
