Although we arrived late at night we were made to feel very welcome. The campsite and it's facilities were of a good standard. The bar meal was very enjoyable and good value for money. We will be back! more

Halfway House Inn was a real find: it exactly fitted our needs to host a 60th birthday event for 25 adults and 2 children. Peter Williams and his staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating to our needs. The location of the inn is superb, and it allowed members of the party to choose where to spend their... more

The Inn is tucked away in a quiet backwater, yet within easy reach of the pretty market town of Bridgnorth. Peter , the landlord, was the perfect host and raconteur. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The locals were very friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed the company of other guests and the excellent food and drinks that were... more

We were tired from driving & frustrated looking for B&B's when my wife found this Inn in a B&B book. We rang Peter & straight away had a happy response. When we arrived we were welcomed in & had drinks with friendly locals & a meal with other guests. The room was clean & comfortable, meals wholesome. A pleasant stay... more

The accommodation is oldy worldy. We stayed in one of the converted barn rooms. All was clean & tidy with tea, coffee & towels refreshed each day. (We reported that a light was broken & Peter, the landlord, fixed it the same day). Peter was very helpful & friendly when discussing things to do in the area & helped us... more

A good old fashioned pub that has a camp site and cottages and too few staff to save money. The building is old and retains original features many centuries old. The food was overpriced and of a standard type that you can get anywhere. The local hunting hounds away down the track woke me at 5.am. which is no one's fault... more

After reading some terrible reviews on this site and having booked 5 rooms and 6 camping pitches we were concerned about the dreadful reviews on this website as we had booked this some 3 months ago and with approx. 35 people turning up we decided to ring Peter the owner. Peter could have not been more accomodating assuring us that... more

We were a party of four staying for two nights. On our arrival we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in rooms above the inn and they were clean and of a good standard. The evening meals and breakfasts were also good quality with plenty of variety. The bar area itself had a pleasant old word charm, just... more

We stayed with friends - the first room we were offered was in a barn it smelt so bad -I think the horse had just got out of bed !! The next room had worn bed sheets, toilet too small, shower was hopeless, milk was off, the flies were an unnecessary distraction particularly at breakfast !! If you go take... more

I was terribly upset by this review - our cottages are converted barns. I could tell the guests weren't happy with the cottage style offered so I then offered them a different room above the pub with which they seemed perfectly happy. My sincere apologies if any comments made by my wife were misconstrued and caused any offence, we were...
