Booked for three nights 21st Januay 2008. Paid in full on 30th September 2008. Arrived at the hotel 1430 hrs 14 August 2009. Went to the reception and informed them who we were then proceeded to bring the luggage into thehotel. Shambolic. Arrived and reception staff posted missing. Checked in eventually, then waited some more for drinks. Waited again for menus. Waited on dinner. Waited again on drinks. Beautiful setting , totally offset by the shabby , dated and tired interior [ tho at least the bathrooms were more or less up to Travel Lodge standards..]..peeling paint , ill fitting windows, absence of lifts for elderly guests , and a total absence of the facilities usually associated with such an expensive hotel eg adequate, trained , and helpful... more

This was a gift for an anniversary. We stayed one night. They placed us above the Ballroom, where there was a wedding party. They dont normally do that, but our desinated room was flooded.
