Have been to this hotel on numerous occasions and have always found it welcoming, the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel has a friendly atmosphere. Will certainly return again this year. more

great hotel, good food, excellent staff, entertainment excellent, great bedrooms, very clean. Near to shops, postoffice, cash machines, local buses, trains. Greedy guests took all the breakfast food, came back for seconds, left nothing for later sittings. Chef catered for 100, on;y 79 at hotel! Room too hot bur that is not a fault if you like a warm room.... more

Well, I have stayed at this Hotel twice, in 2007 and 2008 and never found it to be wanting. Each time I have gone with a coach company from South Yorkshire, and both tours have been pretty full, with repeat passengers. I have always found the Hotel clean and comfortable, and the food plain, but good. The Staff have always... more

Ross County F.C. v Dunfermline Athletic F.C. Saturday 6th December 2008. I telephoned the hotel some 4 weeks prior to the football match to reserve three rooms for Saturday 6th December....two people witnessed my telephone conversation. NO PROBLEM was the reply from the gentleman who took my booking, the hotel is very quite ... Look forward to seeing you on... more

After arriving on a soaking wet day and my luggage was left in the rain, I finally got to my room, which was the size of a postage stamp and rather dingy. On switching on the lights all i could see was filth. The shower was grimy with pubic hairs here and there too. Dinner in itself was an experience,... more

Decent, clean hotel for touring, staff pleasant and hard-working.However, despite a good breakfast, evening meals are very hit and miss, but there seemed little alternative to be found in the town. Feel the hotel would benefit from a different name, as the present one does it no favours, and does the staff uniform have to be black? If you are... more

I've got to say I was a bit surprised at some of the negative comments. Correct, it is a 2star hotel, but the room(s) I have stayed in have been clean, comfortable and well appointed. Some of the guests I've got to say could have done with refurbishment... bus parties who treated breakfast time as if it was the first... more
