We were in Alto Chacras Lodge this last March and was a terrible experience. The breakfast was very poor and cold. The flies (bigs and disgusting) were every where even in the rooms, and there were ants and spiders in the bathroom and in the bed room. We rented a car and the Lodge was a little hard to find. The Lodge was nice but not exceptional. The room was large but nothing special. The staff (monica and juan manuel) were both very helpful. Monica made several reservations at bodegas for us and Juan Manuel contacted the airlines and other hotels where we had reservations to re-confirm.... more
It's a nice place with nice staff, but it is way overpriced. The breakfast is the worst we got during 5 weeks travelling and privacy is low as there's always 1 or more staffmembers sitting in the 'reception' which is were you enter your room.
