Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Of the 10 hotels we stayed in during our cycling holiday along the Rhone this one rates 9th. All were around 70 euros a night but the standard varied widely. Plus points - located in the centre of town. Private garage. Minus points - small dark room. Broken fittings. Peeling paint. Scores out of 5. Location 5. Host 4. Room 2. Facilities 1. Value for money 1.

On the main street (and overlooking the amazing Saturday market) but quietly tucked away, this is a nice, simple and unpretentious family hotel with all the expected facilities. Wide range of restaurants within 2 minutes walk - ask madame's advice. Cyclist friendly: locked garage across the street.

We stayed for a brief overnight stay on our way from the Camargue up to the north of France. Great little hotel in the older style with charming Patronne. Scrupulously clean; comfy bed and very cheap. Good petit dejeuner with homemade confiteur. Would definitely recommend.

Very convenient place to stop, you can park outside , but be careful of the complicated charging system. The owner was most helpful and recommended a restaurant which we loved. we went for a walk round town , but only short as it was freezing and when we got back the owner brought as tea and cake to warm us up. Thanks it was great.

The personnel was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome right away. The rooms where perfectly clean and comfortable and in the morning breakfast was really good as well with excellent homemade jams.

I used this hotel as a base for 2 nights when touring by motorcycle in the Ardeche & Cevennes. You could stay longer & cross the Rhine into other national parks too. For motorcyclists, the large garage that will hold more bikes than there are rooms will be a bonus. The room was comfortable enough. The host was very pleasant and spoke reasonable English. Pont St Esprit has a number of bars & restaurants and you can take a stroll alongside the Rhone to unwind after a long day touring. Little else in the town but it makes a great base to tour from.
