This is an all-inclusive adults-only Club Med. Transfer from Brindisi airport about an hour, much better than from Bari. Club Med has rated this resort as 3 tridents, and I think it's appropriate as the deco of rooms/facilities are nothing to shout about, but they are decent and to a good standard. The main reason why we came is to... more

I've done at least 20 club meds all over the world. It is usually not true that club meds are for those 18-30. But the Club at Otranto was largely populated by hundreds of Italians who come for a short 2 day 'all you can eat & drink' binge. Most of them come from Naples (Napoli). The club when full... more

I chose Club Med as a last minute option, as my original holiday plans had been cancelled, and I knew from past experience that Club Med catered well for solo travellers. Prior to leaving I had read some reviews which didn't really inspire confidence, so I went with an open mind. Here are some of my "findings": 1. The location... more

I am a regular CM traveller and go because the service is always good, they put the customers first. Not this time! It was my first visit to this club, the setting, grounds, maintenance, quality of surroundings was excellent. The organisation, bar and food were not. There were simply not enough staff, queues at the bar and reception completely unacceptable,... more

I read the bad reviews before we went and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are good with nice decor and excellent air conditioning. The sport is fine and typically well organised. The Ranch area is delightful with it's quiet pool and muslin curtains wafting in the breeze. The Creek is interesting and a great place to snorkel. But the... more

Hardcore animation like "ua, ua, Otranto ..." all day and night (until 3am) with no room for relaxation, free dancing or free evening fun. Bad food in a terrible restaurant. If you are not willing to pay that fortune for cheap alcohol and cheap foam partys, do not go! We love to dance and have fun, but it was just... more

Was here with a group that rented the whole village just for us with only about 1/2 the maximum property occupancy so I think my opinion might be a bit on the bright side. Having been to 5 other Club Med villages in the US zone, this was my first Europe village. We were treated very well due to the... more

This was truely one of the worst places I've gone on holiday. The rooms were very small, the noise was over the top and for the price, it was not worth the time spent. The grounds are beautiful and the location ideal. So what went wrong with the planning? more

Do you want to know what it feels like to be truly ripped off? at close to 400€ (yes, you read it well) a NIGHT for 2 persons, you get the most expensive 1 star hotel in the world! Rooms are precisely 6sq m (I measured because I hadn't seen anything so small before), and the tiny bathroom is outside... more

Club Med promotes this place as a "newly renovated" luxury holiday resort. We paid $2800 for 7 days for 2 without airfare and discovered a low grade, overcrowded, utterly charmless concrete set of buildings, meant to ressemble a typical italian village according to the brochure but actually much closer to a concentration camp. the rooms were ridiculously small, especially for... more
