We spent 7 nights at Montelauro in a nice decorated room with a comfortable bed. Almost all the rooms have their own entrance from the pool/garden. The rooms are all furnished in a stylish white and we slept quiet , even with AirCon. Outside every room has nice garden furniture. The rich and varied breakfast was served under the shadowy... more

WE stayed two nights while cycling through the area. Working farm with gardens growing tonight's dinner. Restaurant has a fixed price menu with fresh pastas and local Puglian cuisine, and good inexpensive local wine. Big comfortable reception area. Large salt water swimming pool is refreshing after a long bike ride. Rooms were generous sized, and they were air-conditioned, but the... more

The Montelauro was perfect in many ways...simple but stylish rooms, great service, pleasant and peaceful ambiance (despite there being a mix of couples / families with children etc). While the shower / shower curtain and old style tv could do with updating, the overall look and feel is great and we loved our stay. The location is also perfect -... more

What a place! Wonderful. Great staff always there to help you, fantastic location, in the country but 10 minutes away from Otranto town centre. The building is an ancient masseria totally refurbished with the highest standard and taste. The rooms as simple but with an elegant touch. We loved the breakfast either inside or outside under the patio. The garden... more

We stayed at this hotel during a tour of Puglia in June. Masseria Montelauro is a lovely place to stay. Montelauro was originally a monastery with working land aside it. Our room was in a small block to the left of reception on the ground floor with vaulted stone ceiling. It was furnished in simple style with wrought iron bedstead... more

This is a fantastic hotel. We will definitely be going back. the staff are attentive, the rooms are fabulous and spotlessly clean, the food was awesome.... its a very peaceful hotel, a place to truly relax. The owner lives in an annex of the hotel and can be seen everyday making sure that things are how they should be. Excellent. more

We loved the masseria and were delighted to be there in late April, before the hoards of beach goers. We stayed for 3 days in a superior room, and superior it was. Very gracious and elegantly appointed. The breakfasts were sumptuous, the dinners authentic and very tasty, and the service most hospitable. Having a taste of the housemade grappa, infused... more

We stayed at Masseia Montelauro for 1 week in July. The place is very nice. The rooms are big and the interior has been done with great taste (a mix of Puglia and Morocco). 2 minor complaints about the room 1) we only had a shower (like most room we found out). We would have liked to be informed about... more

We loved this place. The whole place has been carefully decorated in a simple and stylish way giving a laid back but classy vibe. It's not absolute luxury, but it's extremely comfortable and the little details are all taken care of - lanternlit cocktails at night served with canapes on huge morrocan silver platter; classic films projected onto the side... more

My husband and I stayed at the Montelauro in July for three nights. Our room was a deluxe with a huge bed and decorated in a very modern and contemporary style but with a very peaceful and calming effect - everything was white. The staff were extremely helpful and the bar/ reception area was a great place to sit in... more
