Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, is a hidden gem. The Tenuta di Monaciano has something for everyone—whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, a family-friendly adventure, or an action-packed vacation visiting ancient hill towns and the wine regions of Tuscany. As you wind your way up our drive with its awesome views of the countryside, you will pass through fields of sunflowers, vines and ancient olive groves. Come home to our charming restored farm houses, equipped with every comfort necessary for a pleasant stay surrounded by nature. Check us out! Flexible accommodations provide limitless options when booking your vacation. Would you like a cozy retreat for two? If traveling with family and friends, would you like a multi-bedroom apartment, or an entire farmhouse, or even a cluster of farmhouses? Our apartments are fully furnished in the traditional Tuscan style, with wooden beams and a well-appointed kitchenette and outdoor dining area. Some offer fireplaces. Some are pool side. We offer common areas with pools, wide open spaces, barbecues, umbrellas, tables and chairs, a play area and parking. We offer the sights, smells and fresh air of the Tuscan countryside. Our farmhouses are surrounded by the working vineyards and olive groves that their original inhabitants tended for centuries. The estate continues to be farmed today for the Chianti Classico wines of the splendid Villa of Monaciano—with its formal gardens, sculptures, winery and cave. Don’t take our word, take a look! Or a taste! Located in the countryside just minutes from Siena and a quick walk from the quaint village of Ponte a Bozzone, our central location in the heart of Tuscany gives our guests quick access to hundreds of cultural events, historical sights, the Palio, wineries, family activities, local attractions, nearby shopping and outdoor recreational opportunities. Just ask! Relive the day’s adventures. Reconnect with loved ones while dining alfresco on your patio with fresh local ingredients prepared in your kitchenette. Don’t want to cook? Take quick walk down the drive to savor the offerings on the menu of the restaurants of Ponte a Bozzone or Siena. Go ahead! Do everything or perhaps nothing at all. Relax. Simply lounge by one of our two pools. Watch our incredible sunsets. Hike or bike our vast property or connect to the labyrinth of local country roads. No need to bring your bike. Reserve one through us. Arrange for a tour of our formal gardens: among the most magnificent in Italy. The beauty and tranquility of Monaciano might lull you into forgetting that Siena and all of the delights of Tuscany are just a short drive away! The Tenuta di Monaciano is centrally located in Tuscany just 7km away from the center of Siena, 20 km from Monteriggioni, Castellina in Chianti and Radda in Chianti, 30 km from Terme di Rapolano, 43 km from San Gimignano, 45 km from Montalcino and Pienza, 70 km from Florence. In the quaint village of Ponte a Bozzone, 1,5 km away from the Tenuta, there is a small city center, with restaurants, grocery store and bars.

I am actually very late with this review . Was there summer 2017. Heat wave across Italy . Horribly hot in the apartment. Very uncomfortable poor quality bed. Very spacious though if you don’t mind sacrificing comfort for a week. But I will not go back for that.

Very beautiful and calm place with amazing views. However totally overpriced and, by far, not as comfortable equipment in the bungalows as outlined on the homepage. Very simple bathrooms, with small showers not working well and also very old and run down furniture. However, the most shocking was the way the staff of the reception treated us, sending very impolite messages and emails, not being flexible at all (especially for the prize we paid), requesting us to leave the place at 11h since apparently the cleaning stuff was waiting to prepare the bungalow for the next clients. However the cleaning stuff did not arrive before 13h30. We have never been treated as badly by any staff of hotels, b&b's or agriturismo's in the past.

Having spent 3 days in busy Florence we took the SR222 road (voted one of the most scenic in the world) to Siena and then the accommodation. It’s a good ten minute drive from Siena and if you follow their instructions relatively straight forward, although we cheated and used satnav. The property is down a long track and located on a large working farm / vineyard. We were welcomed and shown to our accommodation which was a ground floor apartment. The views from the accommodation can be wonderful, but slightly limited due to the orchard and olive grove surrounding our property, some people have great views, others slightly limited. I can also understand some people would be disappointed as not every apartment has dedicated outside space, we had two chairs and a table so were fine however. But we did want a BBQ one night and felt we were invading someone else’s space as the BBQ’s are next to other accommodation. The apartments are a good size (can’t comment on villa’s as didn’t see), well-furnished and decorated, although it was slightly nervy boiling water in a large pan to make a hot drink (accident waiting to happen). They provide a small welcome pack on arrival which is a nice gesture, but to be honest I have had better at a travel inn! Pool is very well maintained as are all the grounds and accommodation was extremely clean. We chose this accommodation due to its location and tranquility, however there were a number of children around and it did get noisy at a few points. This did spoil it slightly for us however. Final cleaning bill of 13 euro’s per person was a bit of a surprise, first time I have ever experienced this. It’s a bit like charging for heating and water, you expect to be in room cost and also made clear when booking.

If, like us, you're looking for the cliche Tuscan experience of staying in an old farmhouse set among vineyards on rolling hills, this place definitely provides it! We were delighted with everything at this agriturismo: the helpfulness of the staff at reception, the peaceful pastoral atmosphere while still being only a few kilometers from Siena (where we did our supermarket shopping), the gorgeous views from the balcony and out of our windows, and the way we were able to stay in a classic stone farmhouse with a wooden beamed ceiling, terracotta floors and traditional fireplace, but still had excellent modern amenities, including very comfortable beds in large rooms, lovely bathrooms with great showers, an electric stove in the kitchen, and very good free wi fi. Also made good use of the barbecue outside. Could happily have stayed here for a month!

We were in toscany for cycling. It is a quiet place to relax and enjoy the Tuscany countryside. They produce good Chianti wine (you should bring some home) One downside though: a bit too "remote", as you need a car to travel the 1.5km of "Strade Bianche" (dirt road) to the nearest village.

My family group of 6 adults (siblings and mom) booked this place because of it's location and size to accommodate all of us. We were not disappointed. What a great spot. My sisters could not get over the view from every window. We had the full 2nd floor of a building. Large and accommodating with all we needed to cook our evening meals after sightseeing. I recommend you book the 15euro 90minute walking tour of Siena because it is very busy and difficult to navigate with so many street.

We arrived here with great anticipation to be in Chianti. I thought it looked good from the reviews. Although the staff is kind and the place is clean our little apartment was a disappointment. We were placed in a flat which is adapted for handicap use important of course but a bit sad as it was dark and the bathroom clinical. The beds are not comfortable but the country side is comforting. The pool was a welcome distraction for our children. We also had a problem with the toilet not functioning properly. We travel all the way from Australia so we want a fantastic experience not an ordinary one. Won't be rushing back . One thing I must say the location is good to explore the region as it is close to Siena but not too close. Finally the sunsets in the valley overlooking the vines was breath taking. Pity the flat wasn't the same.
