My husband took me to Villa Mangiacane in Tuscany for our anniversary as he knows how much I love culture, history and art. Villa Mangiacane was the best location for that as not only its 12 km from Florence- center of magnificent art and beautiful architecture, but Villa Mangiacane itself is a beautiful, historical building with beautiful proportions and amazing... more

This villa was amazing! Beautiful location! Wonderful staff and ambiance. They have everything here you want for a getaway. Close to Florence, excellent spot to tour Tuscany countryside from. The restaurant was fantastic. The rooms beautiful. Only thing that would have made it better was if the pools were heated. more

This was one of the highlights of our trip! I just can't say enough about how nice our room was. The staff went out of their way to help us. Even though we had a rental car they took us into Florence so we didn't have to drive in town and picked us up at the end of the day.... more

Traveled to Italy for my husbands 50th birthday celebration. Started in Rome, then Florence and then onto the Villa Mangiacane. What a perfect oasis for our tired of sightseeing souls. This Villa is wonderful and the service was exceptional. It is not cheap, but worth the experience. The staff was so nice and accommodating. I wish they would have made... more

Overall this is a very charming location more for romance than family with a poor customer's services and a lack of overall consistency. Pro's: - Location - Terrace rooms with view on Florence - Decoration - Outstanding young piano's player from South Africa playing Chopin and so forth. - Daily pre-dinner drinks on the main Terasse Con's: - Overall services:... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at Mangiacane for 6 nights earlier in July. It was expensive, but mostly worth the money. Our room, which was a Deluxe Room (for over 400 Euros a night) was small, but well appointed. The bath in the centre of the room, and the glass shower in the corner leave nothing to the imagination, but... more

My husband and I booked a Jr. Suite at the Villa Mangiacane for a four night stay in July. Upon arriving at the hotel and were greeted in a perfunctory and but unenthusiastic manner. Our suite was simply but comfortably appointed with a luxurious bathroom located on the second floor loft (Somewhat inconvenient and potentially dangerous in the middle of... more

I'm a 35 year old from London. I travelled with my fiance who was 7 months pregnant. We were staying in the most basic of rooms, which was located next to the restaurant. Initial impressions were great, shown around the hotel by a young east european lady, shown the whole hotel, spa, pools, gardens, spa etc. From then on it... more

My husband and I have traveled to Tuscany several times and, on this trip, wanted to visit Florence again but not stay in the city. Villa Mangiacane was perfect - it is a very short distance from Florence and an easy drive into the city (the hotel also has a convenient shuttle van if you do not want to drive... more

This is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location and the staff couldnot be more helpful but I have several criticisms of the place which is unfortunate for such an expensive hotel. If you like privacy in your bathroom, this is not the place for you due to the very open plan nature of the rooms... no curtains or screens... more
