First impressions: Well we arrived around 3 or 4 AM on a Sunday and had to check in across the street at the San Remo hotel, ok no problem, but the guy at reception reminded us at least 5 times that if you lose the key "YOU PAY!". Stayed in xaloc apartments on a number of occasions in the past but have recently been bought over by the GPS group which have destroyed it. Couldn't believe it! Arrived 02.30 in the morning, checked in at the San Remo, left to find own room in the Xaloc which was over the road, opened the room to find people asleep in there, went back to San Remo to be given another key, back to Xaloc, room discusting! dirty, holes in the bathroom door, one kitchen sink... more

A nice basic place, probably more recommended for singles/couples rather than kids because of the location. Bring your own tin opener! It was cleaned regularly and in a good location, close to all the things you need, short walk to the town and beaches, it's on the main road through San Antonio bay, so you can't seem to get lost.... more
