Las buganvillas was the only last minute destination I could get, mainly because I wanted to fly out of Shannon, Ireland.
It's about a half hour drive from Arricfe airport ,not too onerous.Its a group of apartments on the edge of town. Beware that its almost deserted ( at least it was in July )- we had one neighbour.We didn't want 'night life' anyway so its suitable for a family hol.
Its about two miles from Playa Blanca central ( on long straight roads ) and while Taxi's are cheap - about 3.80 euro to town , you might want to hire a car for the week. It took a day to find a small shop- turn right out the gates and walk about 10 mins- ok for basics. ( remember to buy long life milk ! )The apts are fine. nice small pool ,good facilities and spotless.Air con works but is noisy.
Small gripes are the very limited channels on the box (only 3 English speaking) so I'd bring a few DVDs and there is no view as the apts are 'boxed in' to protect against the constant... more
