My husband and I wanted a reasonable holiday close to the beach but not too far off the beaten track. Since I had visited Castelldefels before when I was a child, we decided to go again 27 years later.
After some research, we found the Royal Marina Gardens Apartments and as we had such a lovely time there, I thought I would spread the word.

It is in a very quiet part of town on the beach side, surrounded by posh properties and electric gates, protecting the villas. There may be a whiff of celebrity round these parts, so if you want buzzing streets lined with nightclubs etc, you may be in the wrong place.

For us however, it was ideal. The beach is literally 2 mins away and the bus stop to Barcelona about 50 metres outside the front door, which takes you right into the heart of Barcelona, Plaza Catalunya, within 40 mins.
