This hotel was meant to be a get away for a 21st birthday but it was awful. The travel there took about three hours with us being dropped off at the wrong hotel first! The food at this hotel was bland and the same every day it was awful! We ate out most nights! Hardly anyone spoke english and they... more

We stayed on AI package there for 10 nights (end of September 2009) For the amount of money we paid for the holiday we were more than happy with everything. The room was huge with a sea view as requested and a terrace. The staff was mostly very nice and polite apart of some people in the restaurant. Location is... more

We have just returned from a week AI at the Caleta Palace, the room in which we were in was a twin room which was comfortable with plenty of room. The AI drinks were good, although the AI was not much cop, the food was generally warm to cold and the variety wasn't good at all. Lucky for us there... more

The location is excellent, direct access to the beach and beautiful view from the high floor rooms. The hotel, needs refurbishing in general, it seems all they have done lately is paint and no renovating. Comparing to many other 3* hotels this one lacks in the appointed standard. The food is very basic (buffet), a bit plastic overall, especially the... more

Cheap holiday first week in September. Clean, comfortable basic room with sea-view as I requested- friendly an helpful staff. Hotel right on beach-lovely clean sea. Short walk to nearby town for bars/restaurants/shops. Don't miss the coastal path -take the steps on the far left of the beach-not to be missed. Walk to Palamos and get the bus back as we... more

Just returned after spending 5 days with family comprising of 2 adults and sons aged 20, 12 , 10 and 8. If you are single, young couple, retired, xenophobic, land lubber or looking for gourmet meals then Caleta Palace is not for you. Mainly families from France, Spain, Holland, Germany and Russia - Brits were in a very small minority.... more

I agree you can't expect much from a cheap hotel. But now, when hotel prices dropped so much, I'd tell u - go find something else. They should clean up a bit more and fix the air conditioning - it was hot like hell, even at night! The location was good - close to the beach and city center. Was'nt... more
