I found myself forced to stay overnight in Ommen after a lengthy business meeting.
Having seen this hotel as I drove into Ommen, I selected it for what was planned as an overnight stay.
The reception and checki-in was extremely courteous and helpful.
The room was very large, beautiful and very clean.
The bathroom was large with great ambience and featured a jacuzzi.
Internet access from the room was fast.
I frequented the restaurant late and must have been the last guest that evening, yet the service was extremely courteous and helpful, and the food of high quality and tasty.
Having a flexible schedule for the next 2 days, I was so impressed with this hotel that I stayed an additional day and night.
I have since learned that this hotel was selected as THE BEST HOTEL IN THE NETHERLANDS FOR 2009.
I am not surprised.
By the way, the location of the hotel is gorgeous. The surrounding area is great for a relaxing walk through nature. Ommen itself is... more

We chose this hotel because it was near the station. this had advantages, it really was within walking distance with suitcases, but the disadvantage was that the railway line was worked on every night, all night, during the three days of our stay.
The view could have been better, we looked out on the kitchen waste area, the carpark and the railway line, but once inside the hotel it was very nicely appointed and could not be faulted. The beds were comfortable, there was a good desk, easy chairs, a bath as well as a separate shower. The breakfast was ample and we had dinner once in the hotal which was ok, but just a bit disappointing for what we paid for it and it took quite a long time to finish.
The only thing I would like to see different is that I would like proper spoons for eating cornflakes, not teaspoons.
