I stayed in the Ernst Sillem in a search to find a nice hotel within 20kms of Utrecht center. The hotel is about 15mins drive from the center of Utrecht, so that's ok.

I chose the hotel as it seemed to have a nice swimming pool and was located in a green and quiet environment.

The hotel itself looks very nice from the outside, and also the decoration inside is ok. Unfortunately, it's a very active congress hotel. I have nothing against this, but the congress activities shouldn't impact on the hotel services, which they did here (lots of shouting from both congress people and staff, staff standing behind the counter trying to figure out what party goes to which conference room while you try to get their attention...)
