I stayed in the hostel for 3 nights. Hostel in residental area - very safe. The only drawback is a location - but taxi is just about 5000 to the terminal or city center. Excellent service (in english too, which is appreciated), lots of information about the city and area around, organized activities. Wi-fi, hot shower, clean.

We stayed for 6 nights and found a hostel infested with flying termites, no hot water, rude staff, and misleading tours and other info. The hostel roof is infested with termites that bite harshly (the owner told us). No hot shower for 6 nights; for first 2 days staff lied about the problem. Overflowing and unclean toilets. The tours are... More

We stayed here for three nights during the Feria and the hostel was fantastic! The staff are super friendly and explained everything to us as soon as we arrived and nothing was issue for them! There is great wifi throughout the hostel The food from the restaurant is super delicious! Great hot showers! Location is really good- nice neighbourhood for... More

I enjoyed my stay here but it wasn't a model example of a perfect hostel. It is split into two buildings and it is pretty clear which one is the little brother. They are right down the street from each other and everything is organized from the one further uphill. I was booked into an occupied bed hours after they... More

Cramped room, not many bathrooms on levels of rooms - most downstains outside. Big staff party on night we stayed - very welcoming and friendly and loud! Clean place. Breakfast ordinary and not included - te con leche was a mug of tepid milk with teabags. Small rooms but lots of common space. Good internet.

After we arrived in the hostel, we immediately got a paper and explanation about what we could do in the town and surroundings. I think it's very good when a hostel does that! The staff was really friendly and helped us with everything we asked. Our room was big, the bed great, the bathroom clean, .... Negative points? Small kitchen.... More

There seem to have been a number of negative reviews recently but we thought it was fine. Staff were friendly, room was big and clean, and lots of information on what to do in the area. Our private double cost COP50,000 and that seems pretty standard for Manizales as there aren't many options. Only minor criticism would be that the... More

We had a lovely room and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jose Cano Marin who provided us with a camera to use for the rest of our trip because ours had broken. The team at Mountain House looked after us and helped us to devise a really good tour of the surrounding countryside. A... More

I highly advise you not to stay in this hotel. I got robbed in a private room while I was outside (lots of cash and a camera). Given that I let my door locked and that there was no effraction, it is obvious that the staff is responsible for this robbery. The room had obviously been searched and the hotel... More

Good, but not the best one. Our bed was clean, but water in a bathroom flew away very slowly. Staff is friendly and helpful but mostly spanish speaking. The atmosphere is far from joyful, if you are looking for a quiet place - you'll find it there. There are a lot of night clubs not far from Mountain House and... More
