We fell upon this place one day while driving toward Bavaria. It was getting late and time to find a place for the night. Using an old guide book, we drove up to the castle and were happy to get a junior suite for me, my husband and teenage son. We thought it was kinda neat staying at a castle. My husband and I stepped down a few steps into our large room and slept in a built-in canopy bed, made of dark carved wood; and my son had a separate room with TV and two twin beds. We had cocktails on the outdoor patio with the most incredible view of the river and villages below. That night we had dinner in the restaurant. The meal was delicious, and the staff couldn't have tried any harder to please us. (The service was a little pretentious for a country setting, but they were very charming.)
