Have just returned from a week at the Xuroy - we have visited regularly over the last 12 years so know it pretty well. As usual the greeting from Juan and others was as warm as ever, the hostal bedroom as clean as ever, the view and setting as pleasing as ever - but this year the niggles surfaced! 1)... more

hotel- clean and small. Rooms are very clean and there is a maid service everyday. Bathroom was modern and clean with shower. maid service daily. No tv, kettle or hairdryer. Stayed at the Xuroy in Alcaufar first week in June.Never been to Spain before so i was delighted when we arrived. The hotel and staff were excellent and so friendly.Rooms cleaned everday with fresh towels everytime. We booked half board and found the food was great, plenty of choice at dinner. Great location to rest, relax and take things easy. Watch the world go bye from this hotel. It's like a bit of yesteryear today. Beautiful walks along the coast.
