Don't go here for Christmas - no atmosphere - no trimmings - no fun. Better of in Wormwood Scrubbs or Chesterfield Royal Hospital or maybe the dentist if you can find one !!!!!!!!!!! more

Friends and I ended up here on a National Holidays excursion. This really could be a magnificent hotel but it is just so run down. We had a good nights rest there, the meal was good and the beds comfortable, rooms were warm and cosy, but just tatty. Furniture was from the 1980's and the bathrooms were very old and... more

we went on a coach tour and ended up here! At first sight the outside looked promising, good location on the sea frot etc BUT when we went inside it looked like it hadnt been decorated for years, chipped paint, ripped wallpaper, dirty and torn carpets everywhere. The room we had was a great size but again was dusty and... more

I stayed at this establishment earlier in the month along with two colleagues. The booking was made for us by our employer through booking agents and I didn't think to check out previous comments on Trip Advisor before we went. Big mistake! From the outside the building looks fine with a good position overlooking the sea. On entering the lobby... more

This hotel may have been wonderful 40 years ago but it is the absolute pits now. Down at heel, tatty and uncared for. No organization, only youngsters manning the place, complete chaos at mealtimes. No tables cleared, no food left if you aren't down early enough, no-one to complain to! No wonder they take your money off you the second... more

The establishment itself needed a good clean, mostly the bedrooms. however, on a good note the location was... more

I was nearly put of by the bad reviews but went anyway. Glad I did. Yes there were some drawbacks but they were not so significant as to spoil the trip. The rooms were very warm, in fact the whole place is warm. The food was very good, with varied menus and always hot. I though the staff were very... more
