Just arrived back home after a week at the Kings House. The weather has been poor but it's still a great place to stay. We always get a warm welcome when we walk in, and again saw some old faces behind the bar, and some new. The food was great, the beer was good, the room was fine and the... more

My Dad and I recently went to the Kings house for his 60th Birthday, we had driven past so many times on our way north and always promised ourselves one day we would stay. Despite the long build up we were not disappointed, extremely friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, comfy rooms and a roaring fire all combined to make this... more

Stayed one night whilst doing the West highland Way. Our room was very comfortable and the power shower was fantastic to use after getting out of damp clothes! The food was also top notch. The setting was wonderous, Deer roamed just outside and the views of the surrounding hill were stunning. We hope to return. more

As the hotel is in a monopoly location on the West Highland way I was really surprised. Nothing superb exept the views and the hot bath but value for money; a nice lounge and the food not worse then anywhere else in the area. more

After a stressful six months at work me and my partner just wanted to get back to basics and do some walking in the highlands. We hadn't booked anywhere but on our way north decided to ring the kingshouse hotel on a friends recommendation. We spoke to a helpful Australian (sorry if you're from New Zealand I can never tell!)... more

Stayed here when walking the WHW. Rooms large, but shabby and long overdue redecoration. Bathroom also on it's last legs - was a little worried about the state of the bath. However, the bar area is fine and the food is reasonable. The dining room where breakfast is served is tacky and unbeliveably, given the £60 / night per person cost... more

The room rate was £60, not per person as you stated.

Kingshouse is a gem. Yes, the rooms could do with a facelift but ours was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food good, plentiful and well priced. Overall, a great atmosphere. Admiral must have very high standards. And why should campers have free use of the toilets?. I find it extremely hard to believe that they... more

A lifestyle hotel, and the lifestyle is not Gucci! This hotel is not chasing tourist board stars. Its for walkers, climbers or Skiers. The walkers bar is not to be missed. This was my last night of the West Highland Way and I unsure of what to expect. My one disappointment was being given a room with a shared bathroom.... more

We stayed one night in September 2009 while walking the WHW. Our room was very clean, room was biggeer & towels better than at the Bridge of Orchy the previous night. Food - dinner was OK, breakfast was good, beer was cold. No problems at all with service. Packed lunch same as what we purchased from other hotels/B&B during our... more
