Stayed at this place during mid-week as I was travelling through for business. I read the earlier reviews about this place, so I was semi-expecting some of the mentioned comments. Like one review mentioned, it looks great on the inside, but from the outside it doesn't give it justice. A large bar and restaurant area is available and I'm sure... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night. The room was nice, but there was a shortage of towels, face cloths etc. The room was cold, heating not great. We stayed at Tulloch Lodge with friends on a weekend away. The location I remembered used to be The Slow Food Cafe. The Lodge is fairly new so nice & clean and the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. We did find the walls in the rooms to be rather thin, so doors opening & closing in the hallway are... more

Our booking was for the Saturday and Sunday nights of Easter weekend. We were informed there was a wedding on our first night, not a problem. Only when we checked in were we informed the restaurant was closed. Again, not a huge loss as there are other restaurants nearby. The room was spacious with two king beds and a lounge... more

Great place for a stopover, between Napier and Wellington. Good, clean, modern, tasteful accommodation at a good price. Helpful owners and yummy breakfast. Good night garanteed! more
