This is an exquisite old building that is just a delight to experience. The grounds are wonderful and we enjoyed exploring them and just experiencing them. The lodge itself is beautiful and we especially liked the library.
There is free wireless internet available in the library.
The host, Garrick was a delight. A charming man with a sense of humour and very attentive. he then left us alone to enjoy the premises and the peace. A rare treat!
Tuesday nights is choir practice at the lodge and so this can either be a delight or a nuisance depending upon your tastes.
The hostess, Margueritte, is a lovely lady but she does bustle about the lodge in a way that destroyed the ambience for us, sadly.
