My husband and I stayed in this hotel in June 2009 for 3 nights and can say that we had no complaints at the end of our stay. I booked a single room for 5 days at des Platanes, but was charged for the double room they gave me upon my first night's arrival. They didn't even acknowledge that it was their mistake! And if that wasn't enough, I was severely bitten 30 times during my first night there by what I later found out were bed bugs.... more

Arriving at La Roque Gageac from the east is an impressive experience, with the River Dordogne on your left and the beautiful old buildings of the village on your right. The Hotel Auberge Des Platanes is one of the first buildings you see on entering the village, and it certainly looks the part, fitting in very well with its surrounding... more
